Active-Duty Service Members
Generally after 90 continuous days of active service.
Veterans
Based on length and character of service, per VA guidelines.
National Guard & Reserves
Typically after six years of service, or qualifying active duty.
Surviving Spouses
Certain spouses of service members who died in the line of duty or from a service-connected disability.
